A good friend of mine recently brought me this treasure:
It’s called TOFU Quick & Easy by Louise Hagler ©1986. I’ve only made one recipe thus far, but it was successful. I made the “Quick & Easy Fried Tofu” and put it on top of a huge salad of mixed greens, shredded carrots and whole wheat rotini tossed with Annie’s dressing
Quick & Easy Fried Tofu adapted from TOFU Quick & Easy by Louise Hagler
1 package tofu
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oil
1. Cut tofu into slices
2. Pour the soy sauce into a shallow bowl. Quickly dredge each piece in the sauce
3. Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
4. Shake garlic and onion powder on the tofu while it is cooking. Brown each side of the tofu.
